What happens during a session?
Sessions are conversational and guided by what feels most important for you to bring. There is no predetermined agenda. Together, we attend to thoughts, feelings, memories, dreams, repetitions, and questions that emerge over time.
How do I know whether psychoanalytic psychotherapy or EMDR is right for me?
During a consultation, we can discuss your concerns and determine whether psychoanalytic psychotherapy or EMDR may be appropriate for your needs.
How often do sessions take place?
Frequency depends on your circumstances and what you hope to explore. Some individuals attend once per week, while others may benefit from meeting more frequently.
Are your services covered by insurance?
Yes; many extended health benefit plans cover services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist. Please check with your insurance provider regarding the details of your coverage. I offer direct billing for some providers.
Do you work with children/families/couples?
I work with children (10+), adolescents, and adults on an individual basis.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to the full session fee.
